Brewed with roasted barley and oats from Gallatin Valley Malt Co., this beer pours jet black with a tan head. The silky mouthfeel comes from the oat malt. Contains notes of coffee and chocolate balanced by Centennial hops from Crooked Yard Hops.
A blonde ale brewed with Gallatin Pale Malt and Krystal 30 and lightly hopped with Michigan Copper hops. With 5 pounds of Kafe Utza coffee beans added to the fermentor, this beer has prominent coffee notes with background aromas of green peppers and melon rind from the hops.
A German inspired light lager brewed with Sterling hops. Moderately bitter, with a touch of bready pilsner malt character. Lemony and floral hop aroma and flavor.
The next experiment in our SMASH series uses pale malt from Gallatin Valley Malt Co. and Mackinac hops from Big Sky Orchards. These hops pack a giant tropical fruit aroma and flavor, similar to opening a bag of tropical Skittles.
We took our kettle sour wheat beer and added 100 lbs of cherries picked last summer at daybreak in the Tongue River Winery orchard. Notes of puréed cherries, pie crust and almonds. Tart, easy drinking and refreshing!
